When it comes to Mardi Gras, the Little Easy loves a party just as much as the Big Easy does! Natchez is no stranger to letting the good times roll, so here’s what you can find for Mardi Gras Season 2022 in the Miss-Lou:
• February 25, 2022: Krewe of Phoenix Parade, the largest in Natchez!
This FREE event kicks off on Friday evening, starting at 6:30pm, with floats from businesses and organizations across the Miss-Lou region. Floats will be lit up with lights, there will be live bands, tons of beads, and more!
The Parade route starts on Franklin Street and heads over to Rankin Street. From there they cross over to Main Street before turning left on Canal Street, passing Fat Mama’s Tamale’s and turn right on to Orleans Street before looping back to Broadway.
A reminder that it’s rude to park in private lots and driveways or along the parade route. NPD will be cars that are parked on Broadway Street, so heads up. Try parking uptown and off the route.
Several Businesses will be open for walking traffic in downtown while folks gather to line up to see the parade. We recommend you stopping into Fat Mama’s for a plate of famous tamales or duck inside Locust Alley for Live Music and entertainment after the parade. They have 4 acts on Saturday evening!
